I am from S.C.where I grew up a farm/ranch that belong to my grandfather and his grandfather and his
ect.I am told that I had an ancestor who sat in a house of elders when S.C. was a colony.
I met some guys from NYC in Myrtle Beach and they ask me to come to the city.When I did come to the city they got me in a union job (I didnt even know what a union was.It was a perfect job for me I couldnt believe people pay you for fixing things they broke.I came from a farm and when you saw something broke you fixed it and went on your way and if You broke it You fixed it before someone found out about it.
I stayed with it for years and then went into business with a friend (antiques).We did really well (he would find I would fix).Before to long I started reading up and watching and asking questions and he got out of the business but I stayed.I even went into business in a few more stores as one would close(rent crazy high)I would find another place to open.
Now I go to estate sales/tag sales/yard/moving ect and even buy a storage unit now and the and flip my
finds to friends or people That I met during my shop days.I love nothing better than to bring yesterday into today and it makes very happy to see people admire it and give it a home into today.
I dont believe anything has seen its day I think it just needs to be given the chance to make someone smile again
