I'm an active, adventurous lady who loves travel and the outdoors. Living in Canada for many years has given me excellent opportunities for hiking, skiing, cycling, and kayaking. I've hiked the West Coast Trail (50 mi of pristine wilderness on the west coast of B.C.) four times. I used to climb, but don't any more. I have travelled to Argentina, Mexico, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Thailand, and now would like to explore southern Europe. This would not rule other countries if the opportunity presents itself. I have sailed on small sloops in Mexico, Hawaii, and BC, and rafted down the Rogue River in Oregon.

I grew up in San Francisco in the Haight-Ashbury district, and did my undergraduate degree at U.C., Berkeley, so I know why it's called "Bezerkly". It certainly gave me a unique perspective on life! My graduate degree (biology) was completed at the University of B.C, Vancouver.

My heritage is 50% Norwegian and 50% Danish, which probably accounts for my love of the outdoors and adventure. And also my appreciation of fish and seafood of all kinds--this includes anchovies and pickled herring! I have a good sense of humour, and appreciate the same in others. I am fortunate enough to have a number of long-time loving and supportive friends. They would would describe me as: independent, intelligent, and sophisticated. I love music, especially classical, and jazz. And oh yes, I'm also a good cook but do not like to cook alone. I can sew (handy for modifying and repairing outdoor gear), but definitely do not knit or crochet!

I'm looking for an intelligent man who is mature, financially secure, and who doesn't take himself too seriously. Physical fitness is a must (if you want share fun times). Preference is given to good cooks, and if you clean up well (in the kitchen, and when going out in the evening). Having the wanderlust is also a plus.
