I had a early start, in that i used to help my
mother, who was a renowned artist in Wisconsin.
I would do very light drawings, and she would go in and use watercolors or acrylics, and sometimes pastels, and use my drawings as reference. I was 10 years old at the time. Much later on i got a degree in visual communication, and my first work after collage i became a free lance graphic artist, and i also did a fair amount of fine art projects, and sculptures. I then took my design skills and became a furniture designer, and that was a lot more fun than sitting behind a drawing board all day long.
I had a bit of a tough time, because it was around 1982 and we were in a pretty tough recession, and then i met a gentleman that was selling a lot of antique reproductions, and he put me to work making a lot of different styles of cabinets and tables, and it paid well but my heart wasn't in it, so i launched into another career, and that was working
as a interior designer, and that was the most fun of all, and
the most lucrative of all. I would make a lump of bux, and head out for vacations all over the globe, and be gone for periods of time up to three months at a time. I called that my Hemmingway day's, and i saw some really tough area's, and
it got very scary at times. The 2008 recession slammed anyone like me very hard, so now i design and build invention's of a sort that pull up a lot of humor, and i have to write small books, and that turned into a lot of fun, because i didn't know that i could be a writer
but it has been ok so far, and i get a lot of feedback that is very
positive. So that is the main story but i had what i call mini careers
threw out the years, because i have so many interests, and it's
not over yet. I also managed to sneak in 20 years of charity work on the part time basis. That is a snapshot of me
