I Would Describe Myself As

I am a retired educator. I enjoy reading, museums, performing arts, music, golf. I am a mellow person that loves to travel far or near. I enjoy the lake, walking, visiting with friends. Family is important to me and I love hanging out with my family.
I have three children, one near, one in Georgia and one in California. Have two grandaughters.
Most of my career in education was in CA. I retired and moved back to northeastern Oklahoma.
I am not a smoker and I am allergic to smoke. I do enjoy a good glass of wine and conversation. A beer is good on a hot day.
I am a spiritual person and attend church occasionally.
My college degrees are from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. I also attended two colleges in CA and worked for National University after I retired.
Most of my traveling is done now with the Cherokee Friends Travel Club. Some trips are long and some are overnight or just day trips. We have a lot of fun.
During my career I traveled a lot for the California Teachers Association representing over 4000 teachers. I did the bargaining for my union and processed all grievances for 17 years. Our district had the best salary and benefits for a long time.
Never lost a grievance or arbitration.
Currently I am a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children. I have always advocated for children and will continue to. I also a trained Hospic volunteer and grief counselor.
I am tall and can still turn heads. I love to dress nice. I can dress casual or otherwise.
I will always treat anyone with respect and expect the same. I am a loyal friend and confidant. There is no time in my life for games. My friends all tell me I am fun to be with and so do my children and other family members. I carry no baggage, am independent and take care of myself nicely. I do a lot of work in my yard when it isn't too hot.
At the point in time I am not really looking for marriage, but a companion to share some of my interests.

My Idea Of Fun Is

Going out for breakfast or brunch, reading the paper. Golfing, going for walks, going boating, shopping in Antique stores, flea markets, junk stores. I like looking for a treasure in an unexpected place and often find one. I enjoy going to see a performing arts presentation, visiting a nice museum. Taking trips with the travel club is fun. It is wonderful learning new things and meeting new people. I can just sit out on the patio and enjoy conversation and good glass of wine. I like dining out or cooking in and sharing with friends. I enjoy so many things and am willing to try new things. I am very easy to please and a very mellow person.
