Isn't life an interesting trip?
There are so many thing to learn, places to go and people to see. For me, life is a journey that has lots of ups and downs.
One of the things I enjoy about aging is that as we get older, we hopefully also gain wisdom along the way. For me, wisdom is an important part of who we are as seniors.
If you've lived your life the same way for the past 60+ years, I'm proababy not the right person for you. If you see life as an ongoing growth trip, then we likely have something to talk about that would be fun for both of us.
My passion is live music of the improvisational type. I've been a Dead Head since 1970 and have had the honor of seeing all of the Grateful Dead keyboard players. Today, I go to about 20-40 live shows a year. All of them center on a musical act that has improvisation at their core. It could be bluegrass, jazz or rock, but they have to be great players.
I sort of look at my life as one of improvisation as well. I have opinions and sometimes they're very strong. At the same time, I'm always willing to listen to another point of view. If that happens, be prepared for a vigorous discussion. I love these types of discussions, they're far more interesting than the small talk we often get involved in.
I also love to read, write and think about how the world works.
