In my past life I was a Copywriter in radio, press and tv, managed our office equipment business, and owned a travel agency, not all at the same time lol. I was the primary care giver to our children too and, yes, I was that annoying Mum on tuckshop roster, P&F committee member, volunteer gofer, fete organised, fund raising super star etc and generally enjoyed embarrassing my kids; good times.
My two children are now adults and I have 3 glorious grandbabies. I am sort-of retired and am still studying ..... why ..... because I can. I have travelled extensively overseas but would love to see more of Oz. Watching you try to put the little white ball in the little hole, saying you look good in lycra, jumping out of aeroplanes or free-falling, backwards down a steep mountain are not on my bucket list. Corny stuff like watching a sunset on the beach (yes, ok, fish & chips!!), Sunday drives to discover little country towns (+ pub lunch), live theatre, movies, music concerts (hope they release more Eagles tickets), bit of a bop or dinner at the local Thai are all excellent choices for me. I am ABLE to do the formal ‘meet & greets’ however I’m a tad ‘poshed-out’ and much prefer the K.I.S.S. approach these days. The two things I absolutely require are 1) robust banter and 2) laughter.
See I’m easily pleased ...... or ..... (drum roll) ...... AM I????
