retired from US Air Force (Major) & emeritus univ. (UNM) Lecturer. Recently
widowed by loss of wife of sixty years.
seven adult children (5 in Albuquerque
area. Very 'together' family, togetherness
built largely around white water/river rafting. All But Dissertation (ABD) education - taught as adjunct & permanent
part-time at univ level in gov't & politics
during second 25 year career. as a result
i can legitimately say "been there, done
that" to many things including extensive
worldwide travel. more interested in quiet,
personal conversation with someone of
similar interests. I picture myself as just a
good listener as talker. recently converted
to Catholicism after a lifetime asf non-
practicing Protestant Reformist. wecome
any inquiries or comments, this online
monologue method doesn't fit my personal, face-to-face preference.

Meine Vorstellung von Spaß ist

when there is no obligation or imposed pressures,
as retired life permits, almost everything you
do can and should be approached as 'fun'. My favorite outdoor 'fun' activity would be rafting a white-water river with many ongoing Class 3 - 4
rapids. Once the river runs were completed & we're back on shore the day would be folllowed by a couple of cold beers (or martinis), a nice campsite meal and swaping river stories in front of a large campfire.
