I'm a retired silicon valley software guy. Retired in '03, moved to north San Diego County, thought I was set for life. Divorced in '09 after a good 20 year marriage. Moved to Portland, and after 2 1/2 years, rebooted my life.

I have a daughter in Oakland with two granddaughters, and another in Philly with one grandson. Of course we visit and have a great time together.

I've taken several writing classes, concentrating on my autobiography. It's going well, and it's for descendants only, not publication.

I walk a lot (living near downtown is a great motivator) but tend toward non-athletic, non-outdoorsy pursuits. Besides reading and writing, I walk to the central library, Powell's, the art museum, several indie movie houses, restaurants, and so on. I don't have a TV and I don't miss it. I get all the news I need from the Internet.
