Basic Information
I Would Describe Myself As
Hello: Introducing oneself is often difficult, so I'll just give you a little summary here to see if you are interested. I am still working but plan to retire in 5 years or less. I am an associate professor at a local college and have been in the teaching field for most of my working career. Reading is a love--mainly mysteries, but like other reading areas as well.
I have four grown daughters and five grandchildren. They are a big part of my life; I was widowed early so we all grew up together. My children were 7 and 4 and the twins were 19 months old when their father died.
Traveling is another of my hobbies and I've been to Mexico, England, Ireland, Canada and China outside the United States and have seen several states in the United States. Last year a trip to Seattle and Portland was especially memorable. Have two additional trips planned within the next three years with my daughters.
I can't carry a tune in a bucket, but I enjoy singing along and also enjoy most music genres. Wish there were places to listen to music that don’t allow smoking, but there you go.
Wish I could say that I’m an avid sportsman and watcher because I know a lot of people are, but grew up in a small town where the only sports were basketball and baseball and I have a good understanding of those two sports. Even though I can appreciate football, it is not a passion, but I support our Oklahoma Teams.
Enjoy people or I wouldn’t be in the teaching profession. I laugh and smile easily and have a generally positive outlook on life. I like to dance, but I'm not especially good at it so don't expect a Dancing with the Stars person. If you think you might be interested, send me a message. Annie
