I love that my profession embraces all of humanity, the rough and tumble of politics, and the hard nitty-gritty of making sound public policy. Yet I can see the ridiculous in almost everything. I love people no matter how different. I love to read and stay well informed, so my daily go-tos are the Globe, The State House News, NYT and Washington Post. The books that I spend my evenings reading are an eclectic mix. Recent reads are "Pachinko" Min Lin Chee, "Russian Roulette" Michael Isikoff and David Clark, "Silk Roads" Peter Frankopan, "Mating in Captivity" Ester Perffl, "Leonardo Da Vinci" Walter Issacson. and "Bully Pulpit" by my neighbor and friend Doris Kerns Goodwin. My travels have taken me to every continent except Austalia from Refugee Camps in Southeast Asia to the Louvre in Paris, and dancing from the White House in DC and to the Rexacana Ballroom in my hometown, Marshfield, MA.
