Ho sempre voluto provare
Freighter travel. Living in a foreign country for a year or two. Conning a decent sized boat under sail, and then when I know what I'm doing, going somewhere real with it eventually. Travelling from Halifax to Vancouver by rail. Making a cheese souffle. Sailing on a local mail boat from Nassau to one of the Bahamas Out Islands.

Being at sea, fresh air, good art or music, good barbecue or Ropa Vieja other local cuisine, Train Travel, experiencing different cultures (NOT Kansas, please!), a good bridge game, a hot streak when I'm writing well, being in the midst of a crowd of intelligent people who are having fun.
Travelling anywhere on a back road or a boat, but NEVER on a cruise ship! Seeing real things and places without a guide or itinerary. Doing any of the above with someone I like.

Someone REAL and individual. Groupies, pretentious style slaves need not apply. Honesty, sensitivity, frankness, gentleness all are very important. I both encourage and believe in speaking one's mind plainly and I value the art of compromise, my own included. I abhor cattiness and petty gossip as well as speaking in code. I value most highly any polite, intelligent and honest women who has good manners, character and grit.
