I love the thought of being in love. I thrive on the anticipation as much as the event itself. Don’t you? Don’t we all?
I tend to fall in love very easily and should make a concerted effort to choose wisely. A trail of broken hearts does not a pretty picture make. I must be careful with my emotions, being aware that they may be more vulnerable than I may realize. It is imperative for me to exercise discrimination and protect my interests.
I accept people on their own merit and try to watch what I might expect from them in return. Honor the freedom and independence of partners and family members, and then our expectations will be repaid tenfold. The looser the grip, the more you will receive. Unconditional love, painful though it may be, also guarantees big rewards.
