I am retired from both the United States Army and the State of Alabama. While in the Army, I worked in several specialties, at many levels and in many places around the world. I retired as a Sergeant Major in the Judge Advocate General's Corps.
After retiring from the Army, I was the director of a group tasked with preparing a plan for the continuing education of the State's judicial personnel, from administrative staff to the judges and justices themselves. Today this is an Alabama Judicial College. After that I was employed as the Purchasing Agent for all the State's trial courts and for the Admiknistrative Office.
But, now I am fully retired and enjoying life each day. My beloved wife passed on January 19, 2008, and I've been alone every since. I've mourned. I've grieved, Now I am ready to live life again on life's terms. So, I am trying to find that someone special, that companion with whom I can enjoy life ... go out to dinner, go to a movie, take walks, share experiences and problems as they occur. I want to be able to hold someone's hand. Could that someone be you?

Taking a slow walk hand-in-hand with someone special. Dining out at a good resteraunt with that someone special. Going to a good movie with that someone special. Staying at home and relaxing with that someone special. Having that morning or evening cup of coffee or tea or a soda on the patio with that someone special. Cooking a good meal for her. Talking, going over the day's events and planning for tomorrow with that someone special. In fact, just sharing one another from day to day.

First, of course, is the appearance, that outer beauty itself. Then, for that inner beauty itself demonstrating all those things I find attractive. In the end it is this inner beauty which governs my choice of a companion.
