I am a kind, sincere, and educated person who many regard as an intellectual..I'm a simple guy in terms of my wants and needs. A laid back, patient, calm, and extremely generous person.. I enjoy living a very busy energetic, fun loving and yet meaningful life. Even though I am considered very much a people person, I also like being quiet and soaking up the solitude of life.On the weeends you may find me enjoying festivals, art fairs,long outdoor walks on the beach or a fun sporting event. A quiet night cooking together and eating popcorn is so cool. I enjoy going to romantic places for dinner and definitely dancing afterwards.I try to do the most good I can, where I am. I think we should all do the most good where we are. I believe work and good works are good for our souls.. I am honest in all things including with myself and others if they are open. My strong sense of ethics comes from a Catholic upbringing. I have high expectations for myself and others.I am intelligent and open minded and especially enjoy intelligent conversion and debate. I am empathetic, kind and willing to sacrifice for the people I love..I enjoy learning new things especially about science and nature. I am very capable at fixing things and enjoy doing so. I dislike paying for someone else to do a bad job. Like many I dislike all politicians and believe that partisan politics and special interest money is ruining this country.I believe in the role of government to set and enforce reasonable regulations to protect the public. I think I have a witty sense of humor. I can laugh at myself. I enjoy being out in scenic places even if it takes some hiking to get there. I try to keep myself in good physical shape so I can enjoy hiking and Tennis as well as good health.I enjoy live music, romance, movies, reading, bookstores, libraries, culture, museums, history, learning, the Internet, investing, dining out, cooking out on the grill, mountains, scenic views, watching pro sports live and on TV (football, baseball, and basketball), animals, frozen margaritas, and going out to have a good time.I have a very large music collections and vinyl LP collection. I like most music genres other than rap and heavy metal, and what I want to listen to sometimes depends on my mood. I particularly love jazz (especially swing/big band, Dixieland, Sinatra, Buble, and Maynard Ferguson), country (especially classic country and Western swing), folk (such as Peter, Paul, and Mary; and John Denver), classical, opera, jazz-rock (such as Chicago), classic rock (such as Elton John, Simon and Garfunkel, Eric Clapton, and the Beatles), and soul (such as Ray Charles, Aaron Neville, and classic Motown). I'm looking for love and companionship with a kind, intelligent woman who has an energetic, mindful approach to life. Come as you are.
