I Would Describe Myself As

I am a 73 year young man seeking friendship/companionship of a nice honest down to earth lady who is 60-70 yrs old and likes the simple things in life preferably within 20 miles or less of where I live. I am just a good old country boy who is a hard worker who earned everything I own honestly, I retired from the same job for over 30+ years and before that I was a farmer in Michigan for myself and with my family's farm until I relocated with my own family to beautiful NC many years ago. I own my own home out in the country of course, I also have some hobbies one of which was restoring an old John Deere tractor about 1 1/2 years ago and it came out perfect if I do say so myself! I can cook for myself and make a wonderful vegetable soup among a few other things....but I wouldn't mind a lady who loves to make those great home-made meals too.
I am told that I have a great personality & I have friends that have been true friends to me since high school that I still keep in touch with even though many miles now separate us. I like NASCAR racing, old time country music and really enjoy watching old westerns or a good movie or show on TV, I like gospel music and from time to time I go and see gospel singers at a terrific little country restaurant... and in my spare time I keep myself fit by riding my stationary bike 17 miles per day to be the best I can be for myself and my health.
I don't have any health problems and would like to meet someone who does not have any health problems either, as that causes much heartache I have learned through out my life but if we should happen to connect and down the road one of us becomes ill, I would like to know she would be there for me as I would always be there for her.
I am twice widowed, my frist marriage to my high school sweetheart lasted for over 40 years she passed away about 9 years ago from conjestive heart failure, and I have one daughter from that marriage who is grown and living in Ohio, I have 2 grandchildren, a girl and boy... both grown; and also have 2 very handsome great-grandsons!
My second wife of 5 years, (whom I started seeing about 1 1/2 yrs. after my 1st wife passed) passed away over 1 year ago. I am now ready to start living life to the fullest again.
I have dated a few times since my second wife passed away but I just haven't found that perfect companion and friend yet...maybe it could be you???
The type of lady that would be ideal to me is one who is down to earth, has NO DRAMA in her life and enjoys sitting at home watching a good movie as well as going out to eat and sight seeing sometimes, it would be nice if she likes to be outdoors just puttering around with her garden, or flower garden too... I would gladly help.
I enjoy homemade crafts and wouldn't mind helping out if my ideal lady enjoyed that type of thing as I have made many nice things in my workshop over the years. I enjoy going to antique shops or thrift shops I so have no objections to that, and I also like to take a nice drive up to the mountains on a weekend to see what new sights we can find and also to enjoy the beautiful fall colors.
