I am a software analyst (retired) and I am an artist. I like good food - learning to cook . Like to read, a lot but can only read sometimes. Like to socialize, but can be shy at the wrong time and place. Cherish close friendships and miss a lot of people in my past. Art is the most important thing in my life (excluding people) and it is sometimes a struggle paint at. Movies Basquiat - Sliding Doors - Standing in the Shadows of Motown - The Lunch Box - The Grand Budapest Hotel - Amy (Winehouse) too many-independent movies (Ritz Theaters in the city & in NYC). I simply want to enjoy my love of art and painting with someone open to learning more about my life's work and need to be creative and to continue to learn all I can about my contribution and to understand other painters drive to create something meaningful. I have always considered myself as a non-materialistic person, but after moving from a house to a one bedroom condo, packing in my possessions, I am not so sure I can claim that about myself. It is an ideal, but maybe not a perfect reality. I'll have to work on that. I also visit Baltimore and Washington, D.C. for same reasons. And I love my adopted City of Philadelphia. I came here in the early '70's to attend The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and enjoy living here. Great art; museums, galleries, music venues and wonderful restaurants. Life in this east coast area enables one to live as Henry Miller defines it. “Whoever uses the spirit that is in him creatively is an artist.
