Outgoing, friendly, political activist who loves to travel to remote scenic areas without spending a fortune. I enjoy sitting by a campfire after a day of hiking. Friends often envy my going places alone they think are dangerous (mostly they are not) I love tropical beaches, snorkeling and good hammock time with a good book. Love all kinds of music especially Texas singer/songwriters

Sail around the world in a small sailboat, visit the Taj Majal in the moonlight, figure out some way to get rid of the bamboo in my backyard; ride the Orient Express; spend a week or more in the canopy of the Amazon jungles, ride a freighter down the Amazon sleeping in a hammock on the deck; ride the train across Canada; take a ride in a hot air balloon; take a year off and drive from Alaska to the tip of South America.

Someone who cares about others, can laugh and be spontaneous on occasion, likes to travel, but isn't interested in the usual crowded tourist traps. occasional luxury travel can be fun, but prefers out of the way, very low cost destinations, intelligence is important, not looking for a genius, just someone who is intellectually inquisitive, my preference is someone who is liberal, middle of the road is OK, but conservatives need not apply. I have no problem with someone who is personally religious, but they must understand that I am not, nor am I interested in being converted. Absolutely no right wing religious fundamentalists or racists. I do not tolerate fools and they are that IMO.
