I Would Describe Myself As

I'm retired from full time work, but still work part-time as a travel agent. In a former life, I was a HS math teacher. Aside from travel and camping, I love most domestic things such as cooking, gardening, and crafts. I love to entertain family and friends, can't imagine holidays without family around. I'm also retired from the local theatrical union, so live theater is another of my interets, as is most music. It's easier to state what I don't like than what I do. I don't like hard rock, hip-hop, opera or a steady diet of CW. I'm fond of smooth jazz and Bossa Nova (stems from my 2 yrs in Brasil as a Peace Corps Volunteer. in the 60's)

I'm looking for a man who is educated or relatively intelligent, healthy (for our age), active with a variety of interests, thoughful and considerate. Being handy around the house is a big plus too.
No drug users, alcoholics, game players or con men. I'm looking for a committed monagous relationship. Some one to stroll though life with hand in hand, someone who will be there through the good times and the bad times. I've been though the bad times, but I am willing to do it again for the right man.I always say it is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.
One more thing about me, it that I am gluten intolerant and unfortunately allergic to wine. The wine allergy is much more difficult to deal with, as there are many good subsitutes for gluten, but there is no substitute for a good glass of wine!

My Idea Of Fun Is

Summer outdoor music concerts, campouts with friends, shopping, including garage sales, back yard bareques, dinners with family or friends, cruising, resorts on a beach in Mexico, traveling almost anywhere. Quiet times with a special man, cooking special meals for him, walks on the beach and strolls in a park together. Or snuggling together on a couch with a cracking fire and a good book or video.
