I am active, fun loving, love to share a good joke and a glass of wine, my chronological age does not match my physical characteristics or activities. I work from my home and have a wonderful friend base, but have not met that special person with whom I want to connect. I am looking for someone to share the rest of my life, my best friend and confidant. I have many interests, i.e., traveling, music, dancing, reading, history, politics, grandchildren, museums, exercising 5 days a week, etc. I am a well balanced person emotionally and physically. I am looking for a person who is honest, caring, has integrity and character. I attend church regularly, and my faith is very important to me. I am by no means a stick in the mud though, and love to have fun. Laughter is truly the best medicine.
I lost my husband in a boating accident on Lake Conroe in 1994. I have dated several men, and recently broke up with a gentleman that I was with for 8 years. It was very painful for me to do this, but I felt necessary for both of us. I have no baggage connected with this, and we parted as friends.
Just so you won't think I am stuck on myself, I would like to offer the synopsis of my "Meet me -you"ll like me." After my husband's death, one of his close friends told me the following story: Before I met you, your husband said to me, "Tom, I'd like for you to meet my wife, Marcia, You'll like her." I always knew my husband loved me, but I felt that was such a great compliment to know that he LIKED me too!
It is quite possible to love someone, but dislike their ways, habits, etc.
I have two granddaughters who are a very important part of my life. Unfortunately their parents are divorced. I am trying to be a good role model for them, and teach them to be independent thinkers and self reliant individuals. I love them dearly and spend alot of time with them.
I also have a dog, a bichon frise named LuLu. She too is an important part of my life. She is not a yapper, as I live in a condo, and this particular breed does not affect people with allergies to dogs as they don;t shed and have no dander.
I do not smoke, and am not interested in having a smoker as a partner. I try to maintain a health lifestyle, and smoking is out for me and my partner.

I think it would be enjoyable to have my date come to my condo, share a glass of wine with me and get acquainted. I would like to go to a nice quiet restaurant, enjoy a good meal with some equally good conversation. It would be great if we could get some dancing into the evening also.

My goal in life is to be the best possible person I can be. If I can help anyone, I am always willing to do so. I also want to be a positive influence on my granddaughters. I have learned humility and patience from the difficult periods in my life, and am grateful for my present situation. I am generally very happy and enjoy a good laugh, even if at myself!
