I am an optimist and a true lady. I am a bit old fashioned & I am definitely not looking to serial date. Friendship first and no one night stands for me. I enjoy being a woman. I love to laugh, there is nothing sweeter than laughing with someone you care about . I have a warm personality & good sense of humor. I am a caring and honest person who is looking for the same. I like to watch movies, go dining, dancing and love live music and comedy shows. My family and friends are important parts of my life. They are my foundation. I believe in the Golden Rule and do my best to incorporate that into my daily life. I enjoy going out but am happy to share an evening at home with that special someone. I make a decent attempt at drawing, mostly animation. I also enjoy baking..I love to go to antique stores and for walks, especially in the fall which is my favorite season. I love to laugh and have the ability to laugh at myself. I like to travel once in a while. I find it interesting to meet new people and love a good conversation as well as a good joke. I like to go to museums, enjoy walking the beach & watching sunsets. I am polite, do not smoke and I am a passionate person. I am a romantic at heart. I believe that life is what we make it, you can be a participant or an observer. I choose to participate. That's why I am here. I am sincere and understanding but not a pushover. Respect has to go both ways, I believe that communication & compromise are most important in every relationship. I am an independent person but also can recognize that life is to be enjoyed and is nicer when it is shared with someone you care for. I am not looking for a man to complete me, rather that we compliment each other. Each day counts! I know it sounds cliche but I believe that Today is a gift..that is why it is called The Present.

I think an ideal first date would have to be in a place where we could hear one another speaking. Dinner & dancing come to mind in a nice place. My date would be with a polite gentleman and he would treat me like a lady & be attentive. He would engage in conversation & be good natured.

Having a day where I have laughed out loud at least once.
Going to a concert, sporting event or out to dinner, dancing or a movie. Having a picnic, (indoors or out)& watching the sunset with someone I care about. Going to watch a play or going to a show.
Could be spending a day with my family or friends having a cook out.
Having a romantic evening in as well.

I look for a person who is humble but doesn't necessarily need to be. Someone who is confident but also able to let down their defenses & be real. One who has a great sense of humor and is able to laugh at himself. Someone who is clean & well groomed is attractive to me. Someone who has a good relationships with their family & friends. A good listener and communicator who is sensitive to others.
