I’m new to WA. Moved here the week COVID hit from a lifetime in Sacramento for a job (I left my career of paralegal after 35+ years) that I’m hoping will make it possible to retire in 1/2 the time I would if I stayed in CA and also hoping to eventually make my last move to Texas where my only daughter has settled. I’m also supporting my 83 yr old mom and brought her with me along with my little mutt mix Jackie O. First time apartment living. Not a big fan but for now it will have to work.
With the pandemic still thriving I’ll be working from home at least until October. Then we’ll see what happens after.
Hoping to be able to make friends that have a similar outlook on life as I do. Haven’t been able to attend a church since I arrived. I am Catholic and came from a parish where I was super involved. I’ve retired from being a catechist and lector coordinator and annual festival booth leader but hope to be able to return attending mass as regular parishioner soon
I like live concerts (all types of music genre, esp country, old school, R&B, smooth jazz and new age), musical theater, baseball and basketball, wine tasting ... spending time with friends and family ... although I can cook I’m not a big fan of doing it, contrary to almost everyone in my life. Would love to meet a great BBQer ... haha!
