I'm divorced for a number of years and lately have been casually dating, but haven't found Mr. Right. I'm told I'm looking in all the wrong places, but I'm not into the bar scene and I'm not giving up on life.
I've recently finished working full time, and I'm now looking for something meaningful to do with my life. I enjoy many different hobbies, animals, great conversations, card games, walks in the park, reading mysteries, watching DVDs and have a very good support group with many friends in my life I enjoy spending time with.
I have no children, but do have pets that mean a lot to me. I'm looking for someone who can make me laugh, who is honest, intelligent, and appreciates my life as well as his, with respect and chivalry.

A FIRST date is the usual "get to know you" kind of thing. At our age, we should know what makes two strangers comfortable with each other, some restaurant, coffee shop, etc., where two people can have a nice, safe, pleasant conversation and see if there are any mutual interests and/or sparks to encourage the actual "real" first date. A comfortable lunch at a pleasant restaurant where it's not too noisy, where we can talk and hear each other, but not be concerned that the other patrons are listening to our conversation.

A Mediterranean cruise, walking hand in hand with someone special in the sand by an ocean, visiting Rio to see the sights, nothing outrageous, but there are a lot of things I would enjoy trying; nothing life-threatening, though, lol.
