This “mail order” dating, is oft like a zoo.

Women I contact seem to think so too

I email a woman I don’t even know.

Often too willing to bear all and my soul.

Forced into judging by photos and words,

Frankly, to me, is completely absurd

Deception and fibbing, quite common on here,

Rejection by others is what all of us fear.



I know of the who and the what that I am

Nothing special, except.. I am a good man.

Many are angry and bitter and so full of pain

They so often retort, “All men are the same”.



I honestly respond, “that isn’t quite so.”

Some men are willing to reap what we sow

I can only wonder and ask why it’s that way,

Then I remember.. I too…once did play.



But, what I am seeking is not just a friend

I already possess quite enough of them.

I wish someone special like I’ve never known,

To witness and share and see how I’ve grown.



Anxious to show how her much I can care,
