I'm 55. From Long Island NY. Now living in South Carolina. I own my home and also work at home. Yes it needs work. I call it my monster. I have found comfort in this home.
I don't drink and I don't do drugs. I do smoke but respect the rights of others that do not. Someday I hope to find the strength to never pick up another cigarette.
I'm not getting any younger. I know what I want now. I'm looking for someone to be my best friend in life and see where it goes from there. Yet I am not going to do the 10, 13 year relationships like I have in the past and only end up alone again. I don't have that kind of time. Do you?
I am looking for a for-ever situation without any games. Someone to spend the rest of my days with. Someone who enjoys doing things together, being silly and not just sitting around the house all the time.
I have my pet peeves. I don't respond to men that have pictures of themselves without a shirt on, or tank tops, pictures of a guy sitting in a lazy boy chair with a sheet draped over it say's many things and does not impress me.
I enjoy family, friends, holidays, cooking, gardening, get togethers, junking, pets, horses, chickens and all those things. I love animals of all kinds, the mountains, white water rafting, boating and fishing (it's been a long time since I did that) travel, nice restaurants, getting dressed up, I want to wear heels again before it's too late, walking hand in hand and would love to start walking again.
I'm not the simple life kind of woman. I enjoy the finer things that life has to offer as well as nature. Can't do the camping in a tent anymore. Mountain cabin right now is more my speed. I'm very spontaneous.
Looks don't really matter to me. I do like big men. Kindness and friendship are what matters. I want to be cared for and a man who knows what a woman wants. Who cares enough to get to know me and who I am. Not who he thinks I may be. Someone who accepts me for my age, loves me no matter what. That is what I will also give in return.
I know it's not a one way street, I have always spoiled the man in my life. Yes I want it all, the entire fairytale before the book gets to the end. If my book of life ends with me being alone then so be it. I will not settle for just anyone just not to be alone.
