I am musical, have done some community theater, I read a lot, and tend to be somewhat thoughtful. I like to go out frequently - to dinner, performances, etc. I am a good cook and that is something that I like to share. I also have a fairly wicked sense of humor. And I try not to take the world too seriously. My politics are progressive.

I am reasonably well educated and read widely. I enjoy history, archaeology, genealogy, museums, art and art history, classical music as well as classic rock and roll, Broadway musicals, and, sometimes, opera. And travel. Travels over the past few years have included Barcelona, Ireland, and London. I am looking forward to my first trip to Italy. And I would love to tour other sites of the ancient world in Greece, Turkey, Egypt, and especially the archaeological digs at Troy and Catal Huyuk. It would be more fun with a buddy.

Although I have many friends and a pretty well rounded life (I am still working full time), my grown son has just moved out of state and after 18 years of single parenting, it feels like it is time to have some more mature male companionship in my life.

Take a cooking class or some other kind of learning activity together. If it's an evening, then ending the evening by dancing would be great.
