I've been widowed for 13 years after a very happy marriage of 23 years. I have 2 grown children and 5 grandchildren. My grandchildren give me my greatest joy. I work full time and I love my job. I love to read and listen to music. I love country music but I listen to all different kinds. I like to play bingo but I don't like to gamble. I don't smoke and I drink only occasionally. I'm 5' 4" and a little overweight but I'm working hard at getting healthy. I go to the gym about 3 times a week. I like going out for dinner but I am just as happy staying in. I love going to the beach just to sit on the rocks and watch and listen to the waves come crashing in. I enjoy flea markets, shopping and most of all spending time with my family. I would love to meet someone to spend time with, doing whatever we might have in common or doing something completely new.

It's hard to say, but meeting for coffee and conversation would be safe. If we decide we would like a second date then maybe going out to dinner would be nice or going to see a movie.

Ich wollte immer schon versuchen

I've always wanted to learn to ski. Growing up in NC did not prepare me for all the snow New England gets each year. I did go skiing one time when my children were 9 and 12. (They are 34 and 37 now) The trip did not go well. We signed our daughter (the 9 year old) up for a beginners class. While she was in her class my husband was going to teach me the basics. However before we even made it down the bunny slope, we saw our daughter fall and not get up. Sure enough she had broken her leg. We spent our ski week-end mostly in the emergency room. It is not a pleasant memory and I never tried again.

I love doing things with my grandchildren. I enjoy reading, shopping, going out and staying home. I enjoy going to live shows. I used to enjoy camping but I haven't been in a very long time. I enjoy going out to eat but I equally enjoy staying home to eat as long as I'm not alone.
