After a very long happy marriage, friends think I have much to offer, despite my age. They say I am sociable, have a good sense of humour, an excellent dancer, sympathetic and outgoing.I am turned off by swearing, crude or ethnic jokes, most politics, loud places for eating and poor manners. Love is NEVER at first sight. It takes work and understanding, and usually begins as friends. I expect lady friends to be similar,fit, attractive and honest, and university educated. I'm a city type as a person; country type as an archaeologist. More night-owl than early bird. I usually combine my profession with my vacations, but chill out now and then in hiking and climbing, but not much on beaches. All my trips are memorable, but one highlight was when my crew and I camped within the walls of Chavin de Huantar in the high Peruvian Andes. Time is much more important than money. I expect to meet friends at 50plus club. Let the future unfold - if one door closes, another opens.
