I'm quiet, but can be drawn out. Try to figure out what's going on under the surface. A loner, in a lot of ways. I've been widowed about a year. I'm a retired teacher, living on a budget. I've taught all age levels, especially middle school. I've been a bureaucrat, a tree trimmer and an insurance agent, besides teaching. I like brain games (cards, chess, sudoku, etc.) Ocean cruising's ok, I like river cruising better.
Cleverness and intricacy fascinate me, more so than beauty or popularity. I like order, but I can be a little messy myself. I like doing new things, but take comfort in what I recognize. I want to learn more abt hobbies, like investment casting, and jewelry making. I'm flexible, but can be a little set in my ways. I love learning new stuff, but value the old.
I'm not sure where I'm going, exactly, but I'm looking for a partner to share the journey.

What I want to try now, besides having a happy and active, and relaxing life, is learning investment casting of jewelry, as both a hobby and a source of income. There is also this castle in the Mountains of Afghanistan, built by the grandson of Ghengis Khan, that I'd like to visit... .

Seeing a good comedy, or adventure story, with someone I like. A quiet lunch at Caps, in spring or fall, or breakfast on the Boardwalk, in front of Spoodles, at Disney, with someone I like. The American Queen, sailing on the Mississippi, in the fog, with someone I like. Discovering something new, and neat to do, with someone I like. Mainly, doing stuff, with someone I like.
