If you are my special partner, I will always make room in my active schedule to spend quality time with you. There will be shared favorite activities we can do together. Until I meet you, I have several interests that fill up my time.
Recently I have allotted time to writing regularly, since I joined a biweekly critique group. Art, singing and playing guitar, dancing are other favorite pastimes. (It's been a long time since I had a dance partner.) I’m serious and philosophical, yet fun-loving; Responsible and dependable, tempered by spontaneity and open-mindedness. Out-going as well as inward-looking, I always look for an improved understanding of myself and the world. I'm committed to my teaching profession - although I rarely take it home with me - and emotionally and financially stable.
Reasonable physical fitness is important. I love my regular workouts, the way they make me feel and look!
I would like to meet someone who has raised children, and is a family-oriented person. You are someone who often likes to be home, but we go out also, maybe dinner on the wharf, or a concert event or... dancing? Ideally we enjoy at least one sport together, and I can get up to speed in your favorite one with practice!
We cook meals together, although not every night (healthy cuisine, with occasional decadent desserts). You enjoy music and possibly play an instrument. You are focused and passionate about your own career, but flexible enough to take time off to go hiking, biking, play tennis, or attend an event.
You love to travel to different cultures. You are reasonably fit and active. We would enjoy socializing with our friends.
We communicate about differences that inevitably arise, because we both know ourselves well, and feel that airing our feelings in a mature way is healthier than covering them up. We are kind, even when angry. A loving attitude is more important than being right.
