Me describiría a mi mismo como
disastrousThe original Wandering Jew or Rolling Stone.I enjoy life and language and am totally irreverent when it comes to humour. I am a Type A personality and am driven to succeed and overcome obstacles. At the same time I am a Romantic.I look for and find beauty in almost every person I meet and in almost every situation I encounter. My ex once said that I "can charm birds out of trees and money out of bank managers" (in England).
I lived in Germany for about a year and England for nearly 12 years. I travelled extensivly in Germany, France, Holland and Belgium. I have lived in 9 aates and visited all of the states in the Union except Alaska and Hawaii.
I fell rupturing several disks in my back and was no longer able to work. We sold our house bought an RV and visited whatever states we had missed and revisited other's. meeting friends new and old along the way. I now pay the price for years of smoking with COPD. I generally restrict myself to weekend excursions.
After a successful career and all of that experience the Missouri courts stripped me of everything but my memories. They awarded my first wife, after less than four years of a disastrous marriage, 100% of all of my money nad posessions.

It is the "who" rather than the "what" or "where" that make convert a first date from an outing to a memorable event. The objective of thi event i to ge to know the other person through use of our 5 senses and conversation. The means of accomplishing is objectve are often difficult and stressful. Adding almost impossible constraints can turn a difficult situation into a disaster. For example, talking is difficult when you have a mouth full of food and talking is frowned in a theater, concert, movie, or lecture.
Therefore, I have found that having a quiet cup of coffee or drink, perhaps with a light snack, to be the optimum venue for talking and getting to know another person.
