How does one describe oneself in 2000 characters or less? Let's see--I have a pretty wide variety of interests, but the most favorite ones are: travel, especially by road, camping, reading (mostly action, adventure, mystery), photography, movies (mostly SciFi, action, adventure), trying to keep up with science & technology, slow dancing, non-vigourous outdoor activity, and just sitting and chatting with friends. I don't do nicotine, drugs, astrology or any of that sort of thing, religion of any kind, and alcohol only rarely. I like to laugh, as long it's not about something that is painful to someone else. I'm reasonably intelligent, and have had a non-traditional upbringing and life, which has left me self-sufficient, feet-on-the-ground independent, somewhat skeptical, but open-minded to new ideas and concepts. I prefer truth and reality in all things, even when they are painful. (Although I do have a streak of whimsy I got from my father's Irish ancestors.) There's so much more to a person than will fit here, but I guess that's enough to start on.
