I Would Describe Myself As

As they say "beauty is only skin deep" and as we all age we all start showing the road maps of life on our bodies. I’m looking for a woman youthful in her spirit for her age, in good health, take pride in her appearance, intelligent, have a good personality and is kind and considerate. A good conversationalist is a must; and a woman that appreciates the small insignificant things of life, like quality time just being at home. I am a fairly decent cook but, I would love to share new recipes and the joy of cooking with the right woman. I prefer a woman who has no children but would consider an empty nester if not encumbered with children at home or overly involved with her grandchildren

I look forward to traveling, but would prefer trips in our own country – traveling has become “risky business” these days. Day trips, some over niters and possibly a few week trips sound exciting. . I want to see Hawaii. I would like to take the cruise to Alaska. I like doing spur of the moment things - like drive 100 miles for a McDonald's burger even though there is a McDonald's just down the street.

I have a BA degree in music - I am a professional trumpet player with over 40 years in a symphony orchestra. My right woman would either enjoy classical music or be very tolerant. I am allergic to Country and Western music (sorry), Bagpipe music, rap, reggae; and heavy metals would give me hives and heart-burn!!! Easy listening music and or the 60’ – 70’s - I enjoy. I do like big band jazz. My love for music is so great I even hear music in my head even though the radio or a CD is not playing. (Now you may think I am really crazy after driving 100 miles for a burger when I am with the one that I love,– silly stuff.

Although music has been a very important part of my life I am a retired loan underwriter/banker. I have authored 3 loan training books/manuals, which have been sold from coast to coast. Being in banking has greatly helped me with my personal finances.

I served my country in the USAF for 4 years as a musician in the Air Force Band. I walked the sands of Omaha Beach where 40,000 Americans died. I stood at attention for the 25th Memorial Service of the D-Day invasion. I was 30 yards away from retired 5 star general Omar Bradley and Charles De Gaulle I was at Check Point Charlie and saw the wall dividing the City of Berlin for the Commemorative of the Berlin Air Lift. I played “Taps” too many times for those Viet Nam soldiers that didn’t make it. I have the utmost respect for those presently in the military or that have served their country.

Today I enjoy the computer and am presently learning more about what makes this marvel tick. I like to read a good book with Nelson Demille, Ken Follet, and Ted Bell being my favorite authors. I enjoy home improvement programs on TV (HGTV). Improving my home and enjoy the good looking girls on FOX News. Good movies and going to concerts are of interest. I am not too sports minded but on occasion one can be of interest on T.V.

I have experienced more in life than most have and want to continue going places and doing things. I refuse to get old and rusty before my time and feel much younger than my numerical age. One will find me kind, considerate, thoughtful, respectful and appreciative. My other attributes are being very upbeat, sincere, loyal, and being honest and trustworthy. These are the same qualities I expect to find in "My (Almost) Perfect Woman". It is my opinion without these qualities a long term relationship between two individuals will fail. I would spoil the right woman with all of my love, devotion and affection.

I feel blessed that I have the best of both worlds sharing my time between the desert and the beach. This is the world that I live in – care to join me?
