I am an 84 year old male who has spent the last few years as a caregiver. I call myself a dementia widower. I have become somewhat reclusive and life is passing me by and at 84 that is not good. I decided it is time to do something about it. My health is pretty good. I walk a fair amount and try to do about 20km a week. When it come to other energetic activities it is a case of "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak".
I enjoy the outdoors and travel our wonderful province, but it is much more fun with an attractive companion. I am always keen to improve my knowledge of the world we live in, and enjoy intelligent conversations with learned people. I am willing to try new things but I think I will pass on bungee jumping.
My philosophy on life is the same as a doctor's - do no harm. If I can bring a smile to anyone's face I will try to do so. I see no point in being miserable.
Given my age and circumstances I am not looking for a serious relationship. I simply want to get the maximum enjoyment out of life for it's own sake, one day at a time. I am hoping there is a lady out ther of like mind. Next stop Tofino and Long Beach.
