i love the woods and the sea, the smell of redwoods and pine as i travel through this beautiful world that nature has given to us as a gift to marvel at and to care for. through my films and diversity work I try to help make this a more compassionate and mindfully caring world. i also love poetry. This is one of my favorite poems by Katherine Mansfield partly because I can really relate to those tangled, wild places inside of me:
"The mind I love must have wild places, a tangled orchard, where dark damsons drop in heavy grass, an overgrown little wood, the chance of a snake or two, a pool that nobody's fathomed the depth of, and paths threaded with flowers planted by the mind."
