As for jobs — I was a very successful commercial musician after my exit from the Army. I was a touring classical guitarist in my extreme youth, 12-17, I was pretty good. I went back to school later and I took my BA from UCLA in Music and Ethnomusicology/Folklore. My MA and Doctorate, also in Music and Composition and Acoustics with Computer Applications are from Stanford. I was a California State Scholar and a Ford Fellowship awardee. I love teaching, and nurturing students to full fruition. But I wanted a real retirement plan. So I left academia, and took my skills over to the local computer industry.
