I Would Describe Myself As

I have the maturity commensurate with my chronological age, but act and feel much younger. I regard myself as being far from the typical woman of my years.. I expect to be treated with respect and will never not take advantage my partner.

I recognize and readily acknowledge my short-comings. While I am tolerant and can be patient, I suffer no fools. Communication is important to me: I'm eager and willing to open my heart when it's appropriate. However, I do not interrogate and try not to pry; instead, I usually wait for my partner to tell me what I've probably already figured out about him. I am sincere and hold integrity dear. I have a finely-tuned sense of humor and frequently laugh at the absurdity of my own thoughts and actions and at life in general. People consider my wit as being skeptical, even sarcastic. I am: intelligent, knowledgeable, creative, well-spoken, have an analytical mind and a good memory.

I have opinions on most everything, but I don't insist everyone agree. Logic or new facts can easily change my view. I enjoy conversation, and I enjoy quiet moments nestled with a special someone indoors or out. I like listening to music - just about any genre from classical to golden oldies (but not rap). I'll often sing along - sometimes, I'll even manage to hit some of the notes!

I spent all my working life in an office; in my retirement, I like to dress comfortably and causally (I live in Florida where: "the weather suits my clothes"). However, I do clean up pretty good and you can take me anywhere without fear of embarrassment by my appearance or behavior.

I am a really good cook; I enjoy a wide variety of somewhat exotic cuisines. When I dine out, I opt for something that I can't or won't cook for myself. I treat cooking as a form of creativity; I rarely follow a recipe exactly. I have several handfuls of favorites, but am always experimenting with new dishes. No matter how carefully I might measure, it seems that my pots and pans always overflow, so I'm always looking for someone with whom to share my cooking.

While my interests are wide, being with a special someone is more important to me than what I may be doing at that moment. Whether it's walking on the beach, watching a movie, sitting across a dinner table, just "hanging out", or even flying to the moon, the most enjoyable and significant part of it would be holding that special someone's hand or looking into his eyes knowing that it's his presence that makes the activity enjoyable. I am looking for someone who not only appreciates these qualities, but whose qualities compliment them.
