Life feels so much fuller and sweeter when it is shared with a caring partner. That's why I am posting this profile. Some other things you many want to know about me…
A few years ago, when my younger son graduated from high school, I underwent my own graduation. Determined not to live in the empty nest shadow of my motherhood, I took myself to Peru. There I reconnected with an old friend, met like-minded people, hiked through mountains, and did much listening within. Basically I began the journey of reclaiming my own life. When I returned to New York, I had an awakened sense of what I needed.
Since then, I have been expanding my career, deepening my relationships, and pursuing a variety of interests. I have enjoyed immersing myself into a writer’s retreat, great art, long walks in the rain or sun, and even a trip to Thailand. But the journey I most want to take now is with a man. I have a heartfelt wish for a loving mate.
I am a holistic psychotherapist, and the mother of two sons in their 20s. As both therapist and mother, my focus has been on helping others grow. This has enhanced my need to nourish my own soul. I am a highly spiritual being, although not inclined toward organized religion. I work out and meditate daily. And as a native New Yorker, I have diverse cultural interests.
I am well seasoned within my own life, and I understand that happiness is a choice. I also understand that love is the most valuable gift a person can ever give or receive.
I am seeking someone with whom I can laugh till our bellies hurt. Someone with whom I can turn the world upside-down and inside-out, and together, we find meaning in our piece of it. I wish for a mate who is comfortable in his own skin. Someone who knows what he wants, yet can embrace surprises when they fall out of the sky. I want to be with a man who is mature, loving, intelligent, spiritual, and capable of a joyful, healthy relationship.
There is, of course, much more to this story.

Something simple where our talking would be the central activity. I also think a first date should be brief so that no one gets caught in an uncomfortable situation if it doesn't work.
A great second date would be to go to an art museum where we get to look at art and talk. Or to a movie or show, and then out to dinner.

Mitt mål i livet är
I am highly spiritual and metaphysical, but somewhat allergic to organized religion. I would love to be with someone who has similar feelings or at least someone who is open-minded.
I am also a NY liberal Democrat and having a hard time reconciling the injustices of the current administration. It would be great to have a partner with whom I could create a safe haven for both of us.
My goal in life is to keep evolving. I hope to be with a man who is excited by life and wants to grow with me.

When I have been so engaged in an activity with someone that I don't even notice the time going by. I love being surprised by how much I am enjoying myself, whether we are walking through the Louvre, or simply cooking dinner together.
