I Would Describe Myself As

I retired as an officer in the military after 31 years and I'm looking take some time to smell the roses. Recently separated, amicably, there's no drama and no hard feelings. I'm a pretty simple guy and don't need a lot to make me happy. I'm normally pretty quiet and reserved especially around new people. Not a smoker, very light drinker and no 420. Fair warning I lean right so if that's a problem I guess you can skip me. That said I'm about the right policies not about personas.

I'm more of a giver than a taker, some might say to a fault. I'm educated but not necessarily sophisticated. I clean up okay but I'm most comfortable as a
the LL Bean type, jeans and t-shirt or flannels. I've been involved in different sports my whole life but I'm not a sports nut glued to the tv for every game. I love the outdoors, beach, mountains, light hiking, fishing, etc. NH has always been my happy place but I'm open to new ones. I've had four boats and four campers but just found that the juice wasn't worth the squeeze unless that's your thing full time and it wasn't. I've been a planner my whole career and I can do that but I like some spontaneity, day or weekend trips, Sunday drives, flea markets, fairs, antique shows and such. I also enjoy yardwork and DIY projects. Eventually I'd like to do some travelling, mostly within the states. I've seen a decent amount of other countries but still some I might like to see. I have a pretty long bucket list. If any of this sounds interesting I'm looking for a light hearted partner in crime to find joy in this life.
