I am open arms to the future. Although right in this moment, I'm not looking for anything instantly serious, if it happens down the road, I wouldn't say no. I like to allow life to unfold as it will without forcing things.
I'm a mystery writer, good home cook, and an abstract artist with an artistic soul.
I love watching and reading romance, 'soft' mystery (not thrillers), and adventure TV, movies, and books.
Enjoy playing scrabble and crib and having a cuppa tea.
Quick wit and sharp mind to keep you on your toes after we get to know each other. But when we first meet, you may find me pensive and observant.
Love to go for coffee and listen while you share about your day. I’ll share about my day, too.
Enjoy eating out, and meeting new people - seeing where it goes. I like going to museums and the various shows (ie: home and garden; RV; craft fairs).
I love most kinds of music. I used to sing in a Country/Rock band.
I am a young-at-heart gal and enjoy meeting new people and hearing about other peoples' life experiences. So, if we meet and it turns out to be a 'just' a friendship, I'm good with that.
I want to be friends first and see if we can grow together and nurture the spark between us, if there is one.
The main characteristic I need in a 'suitable suitor' is someone who has 'joi de vive' 'love of life and lightness in the heart', and shows that by their smile, twinkling eyes, laugh, and sense of humor. Also, I prefer the clean-shaven look.
I would prefer if you were living in the Greater Vancouver (BC) Area, within 75 miles of Coquitlam (Chilliwack to North Vancouver, roughly speaking). Spontaneity is important to me.
I am a widow who had a wonderful twenty-nine year relationship with a really good man. I may even talk about it, and I may not, depending on whether it's pertinent to the conversation we're having. I feel that my heart is big enough to love again so I’m looking forward to meeting people and seeing if it can go forward.
Spiritual, not religious (so not a Christian per se): I pray, meditate, adore the natural world, help others, have faith, give thanks, and am a very spiritual person. I’m just not religious. I believe in LOVE and depend on love to guide me. My higher power is inclusive, accepting, and uplifting. I'm completely fine with people having their own belief system, as I have mine. We all need something to hold onto when times are tough, and to thank when blessings abound.

I want someone who can make me laugh and who enjoys the simple things in life. I need someone who appreciates me and what I'm trying to do with the rest of my life. I tend to get skittish if I feel I'm being crowded so someone who gives me space without neglecting me. I really need someone who, when they ask me a question, they really want to hear the answer so they allow me to say my part then they can say their part and so on. Someone who doesn't overpower me rather will be beside me. Not in each other's pocket but there to enjoy the goodness of what life still has to offer. And, I will be a good listener, laugh with you, be compassionate, full of empathy, but, if you want me to, I can call you on your BS, too. But only if you want me to. :)I expect you'll gently do the same for me, too. I will make you scrumptious food and help you in whatever way I can.
