I hope I don’t overwhelm you here. I decided to provide this information because I am serious. My hope is to tell you enough for you to decide if you want to consider eventually meeting. I hope it answers many questions and possibly brings about others. I am obviously interested in a long-term relationship.
I promise I'm better looking in person. Most say I'm funny with a warm personality. I am not a narcissist, a hot head, bully or know it all and I am not photogenic. I like holding hands, cuddling at home, kissing and very definitely a frequent, meaningful hug! While it’s true there’s snow on my roof, the fire inside is definitely still blazing! lol
I am Jim. I am from RI originally, I moved to NE Ohio in 1979. We were four growing up, my two older sisters and younger brother. We lost the second born to cancer a few years ago. That was so difficult.
I do like to travel, but; so many times I have just gotten into the car and drove in no particular direction, sometimes finding a place to spend the night. I love doing that!
I like to try new things, but; I am apprehensive about jumping from a perfectly fine airplane, with nothing but a backpack. lol.
Unfortunately I don't now, but; I have had several boats throughout my life since I was fifteen. The last was a 32’ Sea Ray on Lake Erie docked at BayPoint on Marblehead. Some of the best boating on all of Lake Erie, so many places to go and so much fun!
I enjoy bike riding especially at the towpath.
Having been on my own for a long time now, I might make a better partner today than I was as a husband. (Most would say I was pretty good at that though.)
I greatly appreciate the significance of having someone to love who loves me. Someone I can rely on, who can rely on me for support, strength and encouragement. Always there to back you up, not looking to change you. I make it a practice not to tell anyone what to do, but; if my opinion is wanted I give it. I now know the constant challenges and efforts to keep a kitchen and home running. I of course would make any repairs, or improvements and help any way I could.
I don't need a woman to make me happy, I am very happy and enjoy the gift of my current life. I do want the right woman for me to enjoy and share the experiences of my life and hers.
I would love to cook with you while occasionally having a couple glasses of a nice bottle of wine. I do need to learn a lot more about cooking to be really helpful, but; I do want to learn. I do make a few things well, one being tacos on Tuesday and a really good Golden Margarita! lol
I am very handy. At the beginning of July I finished the remodeling of a kitchen and dining room into an enormous, beautiful kitchen. Also the completion of a child’s play set to include a vinyl sided front, built and installed a door, window with flower box and shutters. An adjustable attached picnic table and replaced a cloth roof with a solid wooden one.
In every relationship in my life it is my intent to reciprocate even better. If you treat me well, I will treat you better. I am both honest and trustworthy. Those are character traits I hope to find in my partner as well.
I’ve had success through online dating before, it takes time and persistence. I once text with a woman from Painsville in the morning on a Saturday. We met that night for dinner at (I believe it was called) Power Squadron by the Cleveland Airport. Neither of us had been there before.
I'd much rather talk on the phone than text and meet as soon as we are both ready.
So, I am very active, enjoy great health and look forward to having that special woman at my side, together enjoying the best of everything before us. Now why should that be so difficult?!?!? lol
