I've lived a pretty full life, and have reached all of my goals except one......to lose some weight. I was a Nurse for 40 years, and have been retired since 1989. I've walked alone since 1990. I'm a great listener, talking only when I have something important to say, or when I feel the need to defend myself. I am NOT a chatterbox. I have 3 daughters and 3 grandsons. I've always been an avid reader, Zane Gray being my favorite author. I also like Mysteries, and some Science Fiction. I used to think that because I'm a good honest person that nobody would take advantage of me, but it happened, and my identity was stolen. I have also had my purse stolen twice. It was a big and powerful lesson. I adopted a little Chihuahua/Dachshund year old puppy 5 months ago. I call her Echo. She is a lot of fun and company for me. I enjoy seeing new sights, and driving in the evenings when the scents of Eucalyptus, flowering trees and flowers are heady in the air. When I'm walking I now stop to smell the roses that I used to just walk past. Lots of things seem to be changing now, and I'm feeling the need to walk beside someone special...... someone to laugh with and talk about things that only someone my own age can relate to. I love music, but it has to sound like music. I enjoy movies at home, where I can adjust the volume. My ears are extremely sensitive. I am a very loving lady, and fun to be around. I laugh easily. It is my desire to find a sweet, loving, honest man who will treat me well and respect me. I refuse to play head games.... I love being outside. I love being close to water, but am deathly afraid of it. I love watching the sun go down while sipping a lovely wine.
