I’m happy when I’m working- -which is to say building fine furniture and small boats. I love living around the river (Rappahannock) where kayaking and fishing mix in with my work so day-to-day life is always entertaining.
I really like world literature and premium film as an art form. I’m securely tied in with my 3 children and 2grands who- -most joyful to me- -have all settled within simple driving distances. We see each other regularly and our mutual love is a main thing in our lives.
What’s missing from this ideal portraiture? Almost too obvious: a partner. A woman to share things like cooking, our views on what we’re reading or learning, watching movies together, kayaking in the nearby lagoons and creeks or tackling a full paddle across (7 miles round trip), and sleeping comfortably beside each other after an satisfying active day.
Travel? That’s something everyone wants in our time of life, and I’m planning a good deal more of it. (I’ve had a good many adventures in Central America and Europe, including 3 big climbs in the Alps—still a member of a German climbing club. Made a climb to 19,000 ft when I was younger. )
Any of this interesting to you? We might make a lively, interesting life together.
