I'm native to Iowa and attended school here through college. I went to a theological seminary outside Chicago and spent ten years as a priest before I realized many things no longer fit my beliefs and experiences.. I like books, especially about history, philosophy, current affairs, language, theology, art, design, botany, gardening. I enjoy spy fiction, particularly by John Le Carré. The film "Local Hero" with Burt Lancaster, actually anything with Burt Lancaster. Generally I'm drawn to comedic and dramatic films but need to think up a list. I do enjoy poetry and would like to both write more and learn more about it. I recently returned to school to study art history and museum studies. A long-held dream.
