I am 6'1", semi-retired teacher. I like golf, reading, music, walking and am active and fairly fit.

Am enjoying playing (badly) my new guitar.

I like sport; sailing, badminton and squash figured largely when I was younger, though all have fallen by the wayside in latter years. I used to own and sail an Enterprise (originally named Tango Lady but renamed Spock!) over at Rollesby.but haven't been near a boat for several years.

I like quizzes, board and card games, play a decent game of chess and a mean game of Backgammon ;)

I also enjoy astronomy, though its too light here in the City. An activity best done in the dark! My latest 'fad' is learning indoor and outdoor bowling. Great fun.

I guess I'm really looking for a little companionship. Being alone after 32 years of marriage is hard. I AM independent but miss the conversations, the meals in and out (reputedly I am a part way decent cook), holidays with someone I care for and just the everyday affirmations a partner can give.
