My origins are in Alabama and New Jersey, where I still have family members, and I've lived in California for thirty-six years. For many years back east I was "California dreaming,'" as I completed my schooling in New England and witnessed so much creativity streaming from California in the form of music, art, and relaxed lifestyles. So I flew across country with two suitcases and a guitar, leaving the East Coast behind to dig itself out from under the snow. And after all these years I still love this state, especially the climate and smaller proportions of the Central Coast. The trade-off is that with a population of 47,000 here in San Luis Obispo, there are very few eligible men to meet!

I am a creative organized person who is about to "graduate" from a twenty-five year career in classroom teaching. One more year to go!

Five years ago as I was alone watching a Christian video recommended by my son, I was just learning about the exchange made at the Cross and what Jesus did for mankind, when I received an open vision of the Lord himself, confirming that this indeed is the Truth I have always searched for. In that remarkable moment Father God sent me waves of love and assured me that He is the one Father and the rock solid foundation of my life. So yes, I am a born-again Christian, and I thank my 31-year-old son, a new Christian at the time, for leading me to the greatest treasure of my life.

I would hope to meet a Christian man with whom I could share my faith-based life and grow closer in our walk with God. Once I have completed my career next year I will look forward to being able to travel once again and see places in the world I have not yet visited,
