Ich würde mich selbst beschreiben als
HOBBIES:
Learning, mostly work related.
Enjoy conversations about Economics, Theology and Politics (in politics just conversations now mostly, although I have worked in some campaigns over the years.) But only conversations where others can respect views contrary to thier own.
Used to love bird hunting (don't get as much of a chance to go as I used to): doves, ducks and geese - whatever would make a good gumbo. Don't too excited about deer hunting (they are too pretty.) Grew up near Louisiana. Like to cook.........sometimes. Love working on mechanical and electronic things as a hobby, not "fooond" of typing or computer [probably because I work on/with one about 60 + hours/week.] Love to stay active, to a point [Not 30 years old anymore!]
Working-out is off the table until the end of the year; tore a ham-string in the spring shooting hoops with my son. Never learned to play basketball as much as I had wanted. Did make the team in jr. high several decades ago.
Thought I would try to pick it up again last spring. God did not want me to rite now I guess.
Sports: DO NOT cheer for Maroon, they skipped town anyway! Went to the "other school" as my brother calls it, he went to A & M. Not an advid TV guy. Never got any awards for spelling or handwriting.
If I had know as a kid in the 3rd grade that some guys like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates were going to get radical about this computer thing, I would have listened in spellin'.
Have a strong sense of humor, keeps me from choking people, that are beggin' for it. [That was a joke, not the violent type.]
CAREER/PROFESSION: Construction Cost Estimator/Project Manager (with a really great company)
FAMILY: Am father to two "tribes" - have one son and one daughter. Although I have to admit, I am not a big family sort of person. My grandkidz can sometimes drive me nuts. That is a really strong thing about me, that you should know. Another is I would rather have a quite evening at home reading, than "just go out" with someone whom I don't "mesh with." I have learned there is a big difference "in being alone, and being lonely." I really don't find myself to be too bad of company. But then again,I mite be prejudice.
Don't smoke any more, quit drinking, doesn't bother me to be around "social/moderate" drinkers, don't care to be around someone who drinks too much. I may have a beer about once a month.
