Let me say that I appreciate and respect most of the men that I know. I find most men to be caring, self-aware, and able to express themselves in their own unique ways.
Those are the type of men for whom I am looking. Are you one of those men?
Most people I know appreciate my sense of humor. I am a woman who has a joyful outlook on life in general, a woman who is grateful for the people she is blessed to know.
I have been involved in the same vocation for the past thirty years. I am a minister in a progressive Protestant denomination called the United Church of Christ.
Agh! Aren't most ministers judgmental, sober, prudes who do not know how to have fun? Not all of us! I try very hard to live the words "Judge not, lest ye be judged." I have always thought of myself as one who is called to serve others as a part of living a life of faith. My church members and my colleagues describe me as one of the most selfless people that they know. My faith, my worldview, my spirituality, and growth through widowhood have caused me to become the quiet, caring, yet vulnerable women that some men find very attractive. Are you one of those men?
I usually only drink socially these days. I may have a Black and Tan or (being a Wisconsin woman) A Brandy Old Fashioned from time to time.
As far as intimacy, I am not afraid of or embarrassed by it. My favorite form of exercise is swimming laps at the YMCA. I love to swim. Exercise is a wonderful rush of endorphins. But even more important to me than that, the caress of the water is as close as I am able to get to the caress of a man at this present time in my life. I do miss the caress of that special man in my life. I am both a spiritual and a spirit-filled woman.
