I was Born in Sri Lanka, an island about 60 miles south of India in the Indian Ocean looks like a little raindrop hanging off the coast, about the size of West Virginia.
I have Portuguese ancestry many generations removed. The Portuguese missionaries showed up many generations ago to spread the word, and I guess they spread more than the word 😉🤭😉
We ( my mother and I ) moved to Chicago when I was 5 years old. Spent the next 22 years or so in a couple of suburbs, Evanston and Oak Park. Had a tipical upbringing, doing and experiencing the normal ins and outs of liveing close to one of the major cities in the Midwest. A few years after the rest of my immediate family moved to Charlotte, I followed. I've lived on the northeast side of Charlotte close to UNCC, since I turned 28.
