I am a self-employed consultant and a passionate amateur clarinettist. I don't like structure much but I accept it when it works for me. Very much a free spirit but serious about the things I do with a good sense of humour. Twice divorced with 5 grown-up children but very comfortable relationship with both my ex-wives. I care deeply about all of my children - 4 daughters and a son even though two of them refuse to communicate with me at the moment. I am fascinated by languages and aspire to speak French, Spanish, German and Russian by the time I am 75. I love English and using it in all its forms. I enjoy writing. I am interested in people but not en masse. Conversation attracts me but I am not gregarious. More of an introvert disguised as an extrovert. Parties turn me off not on and I am not keen on dinners involving more than four people. I love to cook and bake when I have the right facilities - no oven where I live currently. I cook mainly using my imagination but sometimes use a recipe to do something new or for inspiration. I love using my hands, fixing things or doing woodwork. Unfortunately, my workshop is currently in storage. I am looking for someone who is really interesting company. It would be great if she was an accomplished pianist or other instrumentalist and we could make some music together but that is not a requirement. I am not prepared to take on supporting someone else at this time of my life so for a serious relationship, she needs to be self-sufficient.
