Mature, together, focused, Black man. Recovering from surgery in December and loss of my dog in October. I am kind and emotionally available and intelligent and intuitive. I am educated and literate. I write novels and screenplays and essays. I write and workout and cook from scratch and clean every day. I make my bed when I leave it and clean my kitchen after my last snack or meal of the day. My favorite books are Atlas Shrugged(Ayn Rand), Another Country(Baldwin), The Great Gatsby(Fitzgerald), Gone To Soldiers(Piercy), Once A Runner(Parker) and Moving On(McMurtry). My fav albums are Kind Of Blue(Davis), A Love Supreme(Coltrane), Late For The Sky(Browne), Hissing Of Summer Lawns(Mitchell), anything by Dawes, Blonde On Blonde(Dylan), What's Going On(Gaye), Grace(Buckley), Songs About Jane(Maroon 5). I don't need to be analyzed or criticized, I don't want a woman who thinks men need to be fixed, or sees me as a child or a project. I did 21 years in intelligence community, 6 months training, 6 months probation, 20 years doing work that made me love and trust a few people, and have general disdain for many. Trust but verify is my basic approach. I am actually quite loving. But I think emotional intimacy has to come first. I love sitting on our couch, holding hands and talking..I love evenings at home watching Golden State or binging some show, as much as I crave nights out for good food and small venue concerts. I want a best friend and s lover and someone who has my six.
